Rene Mendoza has devoted 33 years to teaching in public schools. He has taught 2 years at Laguna Creek High School and 12 years at Franklin High School. Before moving to Elk Grove, he taught at Pagaro Valley Unified School District. In Elk Grove, he has devoted many hours to various extracurricular activities including Interact, Model UN, and the Latino Honor Society. He has also been active in several community organizations such as Rotary International, Little League Baseball, Big Brothers/Sisters, and the Bi-Lingual Broadcasting Foundation.
